Okay, so I have a buyer that got a fishing lure that didn't work right. He responded about 30 days later saying issue a partial refund. There were 3 lures in the lot, but instead of dividing by 3 to get the lure price, he went about half. I asked him why, and now about a week later, he responds saying that lure costs more when you buy it new. These were old collectable lures. In my mind the other 2 in the lot were worth more than it. He has already left me positive feedback, and everything, but he does have 50,000 feedback. What would you do?

I'd tell him to return the COMPLETE lot for a full refund if he is unhappy with it.

Partial refund requests are a "fishing expedition". If you give in, he'll continue to do it to everyone else he buys from.

Don't be an enabler!

I agree with Westernsky.

Partial refunds are just a way for unhappy buyers to take more out of the seller. If he has left positive feedback ask him to return the full lot if he likes for a full refund.

Even if he broke one of the lures? Because, I know it couldn't have gotten broke during shipping.

Fishing lures especially crank or rapalas need to be tuned to run straight.

IF hes not happy and it has nothing to do with your error you should have him return for refund.

No, it's not that kind of error. It was one that when you pulled the string, it swished the tail. It is a powerpak. I figure he pulled too hard and messed it up.

in order not to open new topic, I want to ask something in this related one.
I have sold two coins at two different buyers.
They both told me to wait till end of week.
It's been two weeks!
What should I do? If I open a case, I'm afraid of having negative feedback afterwards

I don't think the buyer can leave feedback once a case has been opened against them.
but I might be wrong...

Your safe. I had a seller try to scam me once on shipping. Told me he would combine shipping, then gave me $.50 off of a total of $12 in shipping, $6 each item. I tried to cancel the transaction. Instead of a reply, I got hit with 2 non payment cases, as it was 2 items. Really wanted to leave negative to warn future buyers, but alas, could not.
