Just went to TD bank in Vancouver and exchanged 5 rolls of new $2 coin.

TD only had 5 rolls and did not know the date of next shipment on new $2 coin

I am SO excited for another circulation toonie! Hopefully we get a subsequent quarter series like the amazing 1812 folder!

Presumably another sarcastic comment by Anjohl... (if not I apologize.)

I cannot understand why some folks just can't refrain from dumping on things that don't interest them but are enjoyed by others. Why not say nothing?

On a positive note, as I've said above, I like this coin.

I waiting for some Ontario exchanges.
People from other provinces have a cards and selling them for $5 , or $10 with the coin - too much, I think, for piece of cardboard, which will be forgotten after one month.

I like these coin exchange, I think it helps the younger generation build interest into the hobby. As I recall my first coin collection was the 1992 quarters. That brings back a lot of memories of my youth, going through my parents change every chance I got, checking for new quarters after every purchase as the store. I still have the set I collected back then all wrapped up and packed away.

I managed to get 10 pks through my Mint rep and hope they arrive tomorrow or Monday.

Was hoping to get much more as they sell very quickly to club members and usually cause a stir in the auctions if few have seen them up until that point.

The banged up edge is typical for the twoonie due to the edge-lettering process. The first batch in 2012 were a real mixed bag of horrible to decent.

Not sure why they have to beat them up so badly. There plenty of other foreign edge lettered circulation coins that prove they can be struck without damaging them.

Where did you detect sarcasm in that? And you seem to be implying that I tend to be? I don't see that at all. And no, none of this was sarcastic.

Speaking of coin exchanges, you might get something at a Remembrance Day Parade in a major city.
I picked up three packages from RCM and a few rolls from RBC. Since I wasn't too happy about the lucky loonies I bought back in 2012 and mid-2014, I released them back into circulation in exchange for the three packages.

I am still waiting for my three packs to arrive from the mint but I picked up two rolls of $2 coins on Saturday. One roll contained one coin of the "Wait for me Daddy". Someone must have received it a few days ago, rolled it with other Toonies and taken it to a bank.

My wife went to mint in Wpg and they allowed each person 5 coins... So I managed to pick up 15 (wife & two kids) I have some on order through the web site and I will go back myself on Tuesday to pick up some more...

I really like this design and to get them at face value is a GREAT deal..

I just made another post on these coins, about just getting notified from the Mint that you can get 5 for $10

But I see I'm a bit late.
