1946 Double Die? - Coin Community Forum

AMB Pillar of the Community United States 801 Posts	Posted 09/05/2014 03:19 am I'm hoping it's a double die but I'm not finding a listing for it. The 9 is very wide at the base. The eyelids are way off place. IN looks bold at the north ends of the devices. L in LIBERTY...? It is a worn coin so it may be my imagination too. Let me know what you think. But the west side of the 4 tells me that it is not circulation damage. The extra thickness could not be created from circulation damage. It is a class 6 doubled die. If it were in better condition, I would submit it to coppercoins when they start attributing again. Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 09/05/2014 3:18 pm The CONECA 005 is a lot stronger on the devices, except where yours is stronger on the left side of the cross bar.
