Hey,
Which coin of yours has the highest value?
It could be gold or copper or even an ancient.
Mine is a Sri Lankan(Ceylon) 1792 Dutch overule,Copper
Worth: $500 Bought for $20(Good for a begginer collector, I guess)

930AD silver penny of King Æthelstan of England. Bought for $1300.
My most expensive to date was worth $1800 but I sold that a few weeks ago. Generally though I tend to work in the $200-$700 range.

Interesting question, Kidcollector. Some may be reluctant to chime in, perhaps for security reasons. My best coin is an 1879 Shield nickel, PGCS certified in MS-65. I bought it in the late 1990s for $720. Coin World lists its value now at $1200. At the top of my "dream" list is a 1796 quarter and a 1794 Flowing Hair dollar. Mine are probably chicken feed compared to what others here might have, but hey- I like them! I have a 1891-CC Morgan in XF that I bought for about $45 a few years back, now worth about $120, and my Proof Buffalo dollar (remember those?) that I paid $35 for. I was told by my favorite coin shop that they usually sell those for about $100. As far as the dream list, don't get me started!!

As of today's inventory we have 3 coins tied for top dollar. 1918/17 Standing Liberty quarter PCGS MS-65 1875 Gold Dollar NGC PR-66 1915 Indian Quarter Eagle NGC PR-67 All top the scales at $50,500.00 Now this does not include the coins bought at the Santa Clara and ANA shows. Those will be added up later this week in preperation for Baltimore. But I can tell you that this total is going to need multiplied a couple times. |

A 1965 Churchill (Priceless)  I have a set of 24 Queen Elizabeth II golden Jubilee crowns for which I paid over $2200 my guess is that they are now worth much less than that. |

ND your in a league way above most of .....you must have, and have seen some awesome coins. Very cool.
I think my most valuable coin is my eleven cent piece which is CLAD dime that was then struck as a penny with 180 degree rotation. On the obverse you see a nice image of abe rotate it 180 degress and there's a nice image of roosevelt, really neat!

While this is probably the most expensive coin I own, and one of my favorites, I have many, many other unique one-of-a-kind errors that are truly awesome. For instance I have a CLAD dime that was flipped over and double struck forming a "Mushroom" error with two dates visable, one on each side, a very interesting coin. I have 2 other different coins that each have major errors on them with 9 zeros visable on the coin, how cool is that.
I find errors coins facinating and I can say that I own specimens that are not in anyone else's collection.
