Starting price is $ 2000.
and nothing is in the description which suggest the coin has been dipped.
The good thing is, there is a guaranteed return, for any hidden fault, not visible on the pictures. dipping would be such a defect.
It is unfortunate, but to get to have the coin in hand would cost several 1000s $$.
There is also super 1880 10 cent in the same auction. I guestimate it to be MS63/4-ish.it starts at $ 350.
who knows if they will; sell? if not, they will usually, not always, be available after the auction at a 10 % discount.
anyone else's input is greatly appreciated.
thanks guys.

Thanks for all of these..

...and the 1 in the date from MG well above looks like a "melted candle" ..so very cool.."The Candle Variety"

The boys in the mint were slacking off,.. and thereby giving us great varieties to find..

47P7 ..The best of luck on the 75

...and I to bought a scanner for the perfect pics,..and was disappointed in the overall results,

.. and that resulted in my return to standard photography and natural light. Shooting through 2 layers of plastic is also a real PITA.. Lots of discarded pics just to get some acceptable ones..

Thanks for the pics/scans again,..and it seems too bad that such a few of us are the only 5 cent silver collectors with pics of them.....

These little guys are so hard to get great pics of. 47P7's are older scans and would show up so much better "if" they were photos instead..still great coins here from all of you..

..my 1892..OF 2 RF 2..."maybe"..obv Double Punch... and including the 8/8..very much like your 8/8..
..and "maybe" mine has the double chin as per the 2010 Charlton p.362

..and a wonderful die crack through the "D" of CANADA..

I will try and re-do the next pictures with my Camera setup. we shall see what the difference will be.
Develec, at what year do we stop? 1921? as from there on, the nickels are just Nickels.
and which will be the next series? Dimes?

"Days of" Vicky 5 cent pieces...So I would stop at 1901 ...

I do have Edwards also ..but that would be another series to post..at another time.
