Hello, can I have a CONSERVATIVE wholesale price estimate of a 1872H newfoundland half dollar in Good details cleaned condition?

Coin obverse has NEWFOUNDLAND on the bottom, something I do not see in normal Canadian halves.

Moreover, the coin appears to have a 40k mintage.

1872-H newfie half, worth $15 in problem-free G. Probably around $10 if cleaned. The correct mintage is 48,000.

Is that price a wholesale or a retail price? How much less would wholesale be if it's retail?

That's full retail. A dealer would probably pay melt or slightly higher for such a piece.

As a dealer, I'd pay 80% of melt.

That stuff just piles up unless I sell it for 5-10% over melt.

That's assuming the details designation is because it has issues.

aww :( I feel sad for overpaying for it. I actually paid retail price. Bought it off of ebay. Thanks for the info though zxcccxz
