Surprisingly, I can't find another Quarter of this year and design for comparison. All I had for help were some pictures found on the internet. This is what I am focusing on. The hiker has what I think is doubling in a few spots. Also, the stem of the branch to the right of the hiker appears to have doubling. Again, based on the web pics, the River seems to have thicker lines and possibly more of them. Thoughts?
Hmmm I wonder why. I actually am a big fan of the intricate designs the Mint's engraver(s) have been producing for the Quarter. It almost pains me to think of the amount of time it probably takes to complete just one design haha!
Glare whites out what you are trying to show on the hiker. But if it is on the outside border of the design, most often that is machine damage. Tou might try a diffuser to remove the glare so we can see what is what you are seeing.
Ok Coop this may help. These quarters, because of the detail, makes getting a good pic (for me at least) somewhat difficult. I got another 2014 D Quarter to maybe help with comparison. I am going to suggest looking at the branch above the hikers head and see if you believe there to be a design difference.
