I have yet to read it but if you want some hearsay I have heard amazing things about "World War II Remembered: History in Your Hands, a Numismatic Study".

Apparently that book is the Bible of WW2 numismatics.

• Switzerland

We all talk about the history in coins, learn what happened to and in some of these countries during the war and you may start to understand the history a little better.

Take, perhaps Denmark, A small country that is often mentioned as little more than a footnote in the history of the war. But what the people, not the King, the Parliment, or the army or navy, THE PEOPLE, did was stunning. I bet there are few if any here that know about it.

And in each one of these countries there are stories, His-stories and Her-stories that one may find during the search for the coins of the period. Or one could simple race to the finish line to see how quickly the collection could be completed and then say "I love the history."

There is no way I can afford to add all those countries to this collection. (I am trying to keep a very low budget for this project) Thanks to everyone for all the suggestions!
