I suspect that many of the folks buying these fakes are what I call "closet collectors." I don't mean that in a derogatory way. I'd guess that they plug holes in albums, likely don't own many coin books but for a few catalogs, don't interact much with other collectors and the focus of their interest is building sets that are seen by few eyes and rarely if ever scrutinized. It will likely be years before the fakes are discovered, and the heirs will inherit the wind ...

Well one thing is for sure. The seller knows these are fakes so there is your intent to defraud right there.
I might make a call to the Secret Service and report both of them.

Of course he will. Hopefully, an effective reporting and action system will also be back - ebay's taking a ton of flak for this.
