Quote: Wow. Just wow. Does the "wow" means nothing interesting? So according the coins design - the next 1.5oz should be "Polar Bear" (again) but the Bear with Cub. What do you think about the Lynx? Unusual format, and if I know correctly, only "The Sun" and 3 "Royalty" coins have the UHR. The problem, that it will not fit the standard 38mm slot for RCM coin. And another issue: why exactly RCM chosen the lynx for UHR coin? Not something symbolic, not the art or commemorative, but the animal head. Flood of 2oz coins began....

Looking through mine and there aren't too many that catch my breath at the moment. Didn't see listing for Hockey Canada coin and I'm sure that's probably not all of them. No idea why the GTPR, ARTWORK BY CORNELIUS KRIEGHOFF or GEORGE-ÉTIENNE CARTIER coins are significant to warrant special attention. One of the things I love about numismatics is the history lesson in your hands and wonderful things you can learn by researching the significance of the commemorative and inspiration behind the designs.

Quote: So guys, do you find attactive the circulated set? Daddy, whales, artic, etc. Attractive, but kind of "unnecessary" item. We have RCM packs of each coin (let's say displayed in the albums), we have Collectors pack for each of them (except Olympic Loonie). So to buy additional pack, same UNC coins just combined together, and for $25?

Will answer with the pictures (sorry for low quality, did it quick): I am not really into collecting the Proof Like sets, but have and will continue to get some milestones like 1967, 2012 etc... And I collect commemorative circulation packs. Discovered, that the recent packs (from 2011) have the same format as the Prof Like sets, so decided to buy some nice Uni Safe / Uni Master Albums to store / display them all (sets, packs). Here it is: (please note, that here I have the 2012 and not 2014 Loonie, which is the same) So in my opinion, this $25 priced duplicate will be unnecessary. ADDED: Apologize, I didn't understand correctly the question and posted not related answer. Below Decadon explained about the new Set, and I shown above, why not worth to buy it.

For those that can't see the MC email, It's a single set of 6 coins - lucky loonie, 2 quarters, and WFMD toonie... $4 face value..that most of us got at face value unc. is now 6 coins in one set for $25.95 (mintage 15,000)- I think, unless you've been locked in a cupboard for two years, you would be crazy to buy this set.

The mint realize people collecting this or selling these on ebay individually and decided to put together a package to take advantage of the "wants" I persoanlly wouldn't pay for it but for folks that have no time and don't know much, they will buy it.

Since the Lynx coin projected to Nov release, I will share pictures of my favorite RCM fractional / Animal set: 2005 Fine Silver fractional set - Canada Lynx Mintage: 15.000 Final Mintage: 7.942 Issue price: $89.95 Have to add, that here the design is excellent, well it originally chosen and implemented for the 1995 Platinum set. When I started to collect the Animal themed coins, I find that some of them Mint use very rarely for the coins. Lynx, Grizzly for example (yes, they started to return) and I thought, that it too bad, but than I understand, that this fact makes the coins more rare. So, as cat lover I hunted for this set (I do not like 50 cent "Cats" set), funny to remember, I refused to pay some amount for it, and later, assembled it coin-by-coin with COA and box from different sources and paid more Here it is: (i discovered, that iPhone 5s has the camera, and for quick shots forgot about my DSLR): I put the box with the angle to let the light to play on proof finish and not to enter to the reflection on the coins: And this coin (1/2oz) is my favorite in the set: That's why I think to buy the new UHR Lynx coin. It looks like the smallest in the set, just little bit different - mouth open and the animal looks more mean. ADDED: I have spare 1/2oz coin for sale (It has imperfection on the edge, that not visible in front observation/display) with COA of the set and original box (the box I can replace with 1/2oz RCM box) Send me the message for details, whoever interested.
