Congrats dsfreeworld on this thread making the CCF Facebook feed! You've gotten my attention.

I wish this forum had a "like" function. You have no idea how many chuckles I get from your posts Dave.

If you find a PO01 1921-D in a junk jar you just get melt value. If you find a PO01 1921-D in a PCGS holder and with the CAC sticker then you have a $250 coin. In this case the value is in the holder and the sticker, not in the coin.

I so look forward to reading the article on that 1921-D Morgan in the next edition of Holder World The Journal of American TPG Holder Collecting.

Highlight all the text that you would like in the quote box and then hit the quote button. You will see [ quote] before the text and [/ quote] at the end of the text. (Spaces added of course )

Our Quote function puts the cursor at the end of the Quote tags. Many others put the cursor in the center of the tags, and you ran afoul of being in the habit. It's happened to me too.

Seeing the P01 Morgan with the green bean immediately raises a question. We all know the goal of a low ball collector is to have the lowest grade possible. With that in mind, wouldn't a green bean indicating a P01 coin as superior for the grade actually make the coin less desirable to a low ball collector?

Interesting question. I look forward to a response from an experienced low ball collector.

Keep in mind what you want with a P01 coin. You want - the attribute most sought, and the standard considered by TPG's - the least-identifiable coin possible. The standard towards which P01 reaches is zero, not two. The worse it is, the better it is. This is lowballing.
