PCGS will only designate Red Book and CPG varieties, which this one happens to be, but not all CONECA Top 100 are listed in those two publications.

media-I am purely a collector. Anyway, I would much rather have the appropriate designation on the slab. However, many coins have been certified without the designation for at least a couple of reasons; one being that the submitter was not aware of the variety, type, etc when they submitted the coin which the submitter would have to request or they just may not want to pay the premium for the designation. If the designation was listed on the slab, it would in my opinion, at least give the buyer more confidence in what they were buying and help in properly determining the value of the coin. Coins such as rpm's don't have as clear a pricing guide as regular certified coins ( gray sheet, numismedia, etc). I usually look at coppercoins, e-book and some other sites to get an "idea" as to the value. When I buy on ebay, I do my best to verify the rpm from the pictures and never buy from someone that does not have a reasonable return policy. Only one time have I gotten a coin that was not what it was advertised as; I kept it anyway because it was one that I did not have and I got it for a fair price.

jprine,
Nice coin, congrats!
Would you be able to give us an updated list of the rpm's you still need. I have found a few nice rpm's lately and if any are ones that you need, I'll be happy to help you with your quest.

Here you go SUDZ. Got a long way to go and a few of the "big ones" left. Most of the ones I have are in pretty good shape with a few that will need to be upgraded, but that will have to wait till I fill a few more holes in the list.

Now that is a formidable list, I will check to see if I can be of any help. Off the top of my head, I think I may have 1 or 2 of them.
