I have this 1953-D Roosevelt dime that is uncirculated. The MM looks like a possible RPM, but I can't find any information on this variety. The mark on the MM is very clear under my loupe, but I had a hard time getting a good photo. The RPM mark is on the lower right portion of the D. Is this a RPM or some other kind of damage? I would love to classify it if I can. Thanks!

ROFL! I got so caught up on the MM, I misnamed the president! Thank you for the correction, nfine.

Thank you everyone else for info about the MD. I still have a hard time identifying those sometimes.

It is Machine Doubling from a high bounce after the strike. On a low bounce, the lower part of the devices can be affected. (Sometimes even level with the field):

White arrows are MD, the red arrows are part of the doubled die. Yes, Machine Doubling can affect doubled dies as well.

Sometimes a half way up they can be affected:
1953-D-Roosevelt-Dime-Uncirculated,-RPM-Or-Something-Else?
Sometimes on the high bounce just the tops of the devices area affected:

Some get Machine Doubling during ejection of the coin that affects just one two two devices:
1953-D-Roosevelt-Dime-Uncirculated,-RPM-Or-Something-Else?
But all are just Machine Doubling. But no premium for these as they are not doubled dies, just strikes that altered the devices on the coin, after the strike. (damaging the coins devices)
