I think I've found a trail die but as of yet there are none from Denver listed on Traildies.com for 2014.

Apologies for photo quality.

There's one coming straight from his eye which is cool and another one that didn't show in the picture just under his nose.

Looks like one to me but I am no expert. I loved the crazy ones you could find somewhat easily on the 2009 Lincolns :-)

Looks like die scratches/scrapes to me. Trails would be starting from some of the coins devices, such as the letters. They wouldn't just start randomly in the field.

I agree with Jay. It is die polishing to remove a clash.

Not a trail die,I agree with jay also. I just tossed one like that but it was on the reverse.

Dang, once again I'm foiled by trails.

After reading more at traildies plus clues from comments like Jay's I think I better understand what I'm looking for when it comes to trails. John's 1995-D where the trails come from the memorial on the reverse had me a bit hopeful that trails can come from other areas of the coin besides the corners of letters/numbers, but after looking again they are extending out from corners also. https://goccf.com/t/134337

Die polishing as the cause does puzzle me though. I can't see how the area under the bowtie would be hit by a file(?) as it's incuse on the die, and especially while staying exactly parallel to the other scratches. Brush maybe?

Thanks.

Sorry to bring up an old thread but I'm new to error coins but just found 8 2014-P Lincoln Cent trail dies, 2014p-1der-007t, and need to see what a fair value is on them because of a friend wanting to make a deal. For the record he is the one that pointed this out too me so he deserves credit. Thank you in advance and Merry Christmas everyone.

It is not a trail die. It maybe a die scrape caused by a feeder finger.
