Yes they were a few months old but he assured me the prices are still fairly accurate for older coins!

Gee, maybe he/she read that you like older coins. The Grey Sheets are yet another source of current values.
Do you think that he/she included them to prod you to learn?

Possibly, they are pretty interesting since I am trying to price my collection monthly and see the ups and downs.

gidjit, does your silver round have cartwheel lustre? Those lines make me imagine it does.

Glad you like it smokerideron! I was struggling to find you a gift, and so decided to just send a silver eagle I had sitting in a drawer. Sorry for sending it so late, had a really busy holiday season.

I received my gift today; a silver proof 2001s New York State Quarter. A very nice gift, thank you very much santa!

It was also fun shooting the coin, I didn't manage to get exactly the look I was going for so I will try again in the future with a bit more diffusion on the lights.
