Excellent! The blank spaces seem to have labels, do you have coins to fill them or do you just know what you intend to get?

Those halogen cabinet lights put out a lot of heat, enough to affect coins IMHO. I would've recommended high powdered leds. The heat put off by those are more easily absorbed by the metal sinks attached to them than the halogens.

The LED lights will not stay on for long periods, minutes at most I detected no heat. They are remote controlled and have low settings. Ideally there may have been better LED lights, however I need battery powered, with a remote for obvious reasons. If someone has a link to an LED that is batter powered, remote controlled, and puts off less heat or better lighting, please let me know. As for the labels, alas perhaps I am idealistic. I put labels for all official Emperors, ignoring minor usurpers, Gallic Secessionist and British Secessionists except Postumus. I realize the last dozen Emperors of the west may be expensive or impossible to find. Julius Nepos anyone? Ha! We know he will be expensive. I also had room for only 120 coins, so I need to be discerning, plus I wanted some Byzantines. I wanted Nicephorus I, as I dig the story behind Krum drinking from his skull. I suppose in the end it is a lifetime endeavor and I have some time, so perhaps I can score all these emperors, we shall see.
This case began because I was unhappy with everything out there, including price. Most vendors used cheap string led and it needed to be plugged in. All told for parts I spent around $800 and played General Contractor in ordering the original case, bringing to the design place for the shadow box. Then personally labeling. It was an incredible and fun endeavor and I appreciate everyone's counsel and support. As for selling, obviously not this one. However I could aid people in finding the parts.

The only leds you will find that are already set up to run on battery power are flashlights. You would have to build it, much like you did this. Though what I'm talking about isn't really much different than a flashlight. As I'm still to new here I'm unable to leave links, candle power forums is a good place to start. They have a market place, but for this I would recommend: Led supply for housing/heatsink, optics, and leds. Battery space for your power supply, and Task led for the driver. You can even wire your remote device into the setup. The only questions are; How are your soldering skills? What runtime are you looking for? Your runtime and space available govern the size and number of batteries needed, thus governing the number of setups allowable for the case. I can go into more detail if you would like to pm your email.

Those are not high powered leds. They only give off about 50 lumen. The setups I am referring to give off 10 to 12 times the amount of light of one of those. Here are some pics of examples of what I am talking about. This is the kind of light it gives off Many people use them in cycling because they are small, portable, battery operated, long runtime, and super bright. The optics can also be focused to a single beam or widened to flood.

But would you be able to see the coins under that glare?

High powered Leds tend to give off very little glare, unless you look directly at them, which could blind you as it is a class 2 laser. One of the reasons why all the flashlight companies are making the migration. The best part about what I recommend is it is 100% customize-able for the users needs. There are even lenses to add tint, for glare or effect. Colored lenses or colored leds for positive and negative variations on light effects. The white series can be bought in any range from single candle to daylight bright. You just need to educate yourself a bit in order to know what effect you desire. Really no different than stage lighting, just smaller scale. A lot of the new animation signage nowadays utilizes the same tech. They last longer too. I suppose if the coins are proofs the mirror would give off glare, if the led was pointed directly at it. That would be the only down side, but easily fixed with a frosted lens.
