Circulated 1c and 10c clips are fairly common - good luck!!

Someone mentioned how scarce loon dollar clips here... I do have one, and finally got around to photographing it. This one is 2009, probably MS-63.

That is nice Roger. Don't you have a double clipped toonie that you picked up from Victoria? I would sure like to see pics of that!

robmck1967, your dealer decided to sell it locally, for less than my offer... so I never got a chance to buy it

having seen SPP's coin, is this one I have also clipped? I have no idea about clipped coins unless it is obvious.

hey there 47p7, I do not believe that this is a clipped coin. This looks to be a Struck Through Grease as being my best guess, arguably a cloth as well. The reason(s) I think this is because the evidence of the "D" and "O" is still evident and supports the struck through theory. In addition, notice it has no blakesly or clippage on the obverse indicating that there has been no metal removed or sheared off. all of the metal is there, however it is just dense in that area. notice the area looks like a wave or a liquid or "grease" has made the area in it's unique fashion. Very nice error, however given these few points wavering the fact that this is not considered a clipped planchet. Excellent coin and if genuine is extremely rare and fairly valuable. Thanks for sharing!

I just wanted to thank everyone for all the coin support you all have given me, not only knowledge but actually clipped planchets!
I have added lots to my collection!
