As I said in your other post dedicated to this issue...no additional value and not even attributed by the TPG when graded.

...and if you are 5 for 5 then the coins WITHOUT the doubling would, in theory, have a lower POP...

Good idea for everyone to check theirs...I will get mine tomorrow and give them a peek...

As expected, my set arrived Friday afternoon.

This set is a lot bigger than I thought it would be. Photos are so deceiving.

All four coins look great. Like others, I found the capsules difficult to remove. My only complaint is that the black material from the capsule holders shed a bit. Have a can of compressed air handy.

OK got my set yesterday . Honestly I have too say I'm not that impressed with the packaging (display) of this set to big and honestly kinda cheap looking in my option. As for the COINS I received there OK all but the D mint coin that has a spot in the field under the Y in liberty. With the reverse proof being the nicest coin of the set I received . This set will be going back mostly because of the spot above mentioned but also of the packaging . It just don't appeal to me that much

1st time I have ordered from the mint & received within a week - impressive. The packaging is a bit stilted - but coins ARE nice, irregardless.

I just received my 5 sets and I guess I am in the minority. I am NOT a picky collector and have been ordering from the Mint for WAYYY over 10 years and have returned maybe two sets/coins over that period.

With that said out of the 5 sets (20 coins) there are six I would consider acceptable. ALL the others have blatant marks, scratches and spots that I usually do not see on regular Mint unc sets.

Four sets will be going back....

...and how can you make a collector set with display instructions and have no way to see the reverse of the coins without prying out the capsules....dumb

I just today ordered mine - I wanted to order them sooner but I needed to wait on a check to get deposited first. I first tried ordering through the Mint's website. First, since it's been a while since I ordered anything from them, I was informed I needed to reset my password. I did that, but am still waiting on the link to reset it. So I tried checking out as a guest, but I couldn't accept the privacy terms during checkout.

Well, I didn't want to wait so I went ahead and called it in. Didn't have to wait on hold very long and the process went very smoothly. I ordered one of the silver sets. I also ordered one of the 2-coin clad high-relief sets for $9.95. I understand that those were being shown as out of stock but they are now listed as on Back Order, with an expected stock date of Nov. 20. The rep I spoke to confirmed this. So I'll have to wait a bit for that but I can live with it. I was afraid I'd missed out on it completely.

Looking forward to seeing them! The pics I've seen look really nice.

BTW: Regarding my difficulties with the web site, I should have mentioned that I was using a PC. Still waiting for the password-reset link.

@barryg They are stunning coins. I can't wait till I get my sets I ordered. Now more than ever I'm convinced that they will be key coins in the Kennedy set.
