I ordered my set at about 9:00 EST yesterday. I am VERY impressed by the upgraded system. This was my first time ordering something from the Mint and I was very pleased.

I checked sales on ebay and they had some sell between $140 and 150 each. I assume to people who don't know about the U.S. Mint.

Well, I'm not sure what is going on with my order, to be honest. As I mentioned, I was required to reset my password, but the reset email never arrived and I had to order as a guest instead. And now I'm still waiting for my order confirmation e-mail to arrive. I can't log into my account to check the order status, for obvious reasons.
And yes, I have checked my "spam" folder to no avail. Sadly, I didn't think to copy the information from the confirmation page that displayed when I placed my order.

So how many people here are of the opinion that this set will/will not sell out? From what I believe first days sales will be (probably between 100-120k) I don't think it will sell out (at least soon anyways)... but still buy what you like and enjoy these 4 beautiful coins!

For what it is worth, my tracking says Estimated delivery : Tues 11/04/2014. Quote: So how many people here are of the opinion that this set will/will not sell out? My opinion is that it will sell more than 100,000, but less than 300,000. Again, just an opinion, not even an informed one; really just a guess.

I am torn about this set. Firstly, it is pricey, no doubt about that. I was actually considering the purchase simply because if I ever decided to start a halves collection, I would need these coins. But as I decided not to buy these, I am taking a risk that when and if I do start a collection of halves these would most likely carry a hefty premium. But I am glad those of you who wanted these were able to place your order.

If you want every Kennedy, you would need this set and the gold one, but you can customize the collection to fit your needs. I'm working on a master collection of all Kennedy issues (except gold unless gold really drops) but I also have a second album with coins from 64-89. I'm sticking with these years for the second set for a couple of reasons; some have silver, the coins circulated during this time frame (not very well but they were out there), and they are higher relief that the 90s-date.

Interesting .. in the past my mint orders were shipped from Indiana.
For this order is says it was received at FEDEX Southhaven, MS at 10:54pm and left that facility at 11:48pm.
All I can guess is that this is a new shipping facility. And closer to me, in Florida panhandle. I am guessing I could get this package by Friday.

I am not really into proofs but the UNC's are nice. Then I have been questioning whether this would be a worthy endeavor collecting coins that are no longer meant for circulation...as in collector only releases from the mint. Those coins would be in abundance in BU condition so I am not sure about their future potential.

The CLAD Kennedy anniversary set is now sold out. I guess many, like me, waited for the release of the silver set and bought them together to save the $4.95 shipping charge.

@TheForce- it sounds like you are more of an investor than a collector. Perhaps you should just try bullion for a while. You may find that bullion is your happy place. Just a thought.
