My order for one set placed yesterday afternoon was "shipped" this morning. The tracking information states that at 12:03 pm "Shipment information sent to FedEx" and the anticipated ship date is today from Memphis. This set is the first time I have ever purchased anything directly from the Mint.

I ordered the silver set + the clad set + some HOF clad half at around Mid-night (forgot about the silver set release until I check CCF).....
Now, I just checked with the mint site, since I haven't received any update from them and this is what it show:
Order Placed: 10/29/14 Order Status: BACKORDER Order Number: USM02629xxx
The weird/interesting thing is that the Clad Set's Total: $0.00. What happened. It was still available at the time of my order and didn't went to "Out of Stock" until the morning (when I checked back).

The clad set sold out yesterday. Sounds like you got your order in after the clad was gone.

Quote: The clad set sold out yesterday. Read the posts on the previous page...they are not sold out ...and I have no clue why an order with 3 different items would be marked as backordered...I can see individual items but not the order as a whole...only one of the 3 are backordered

I think this was the first time the Mint processed my and shipped it out within 24 hours. The tracking# says it will be delivered next Tuesday. It sucks that UPS wants an adult signature. I ordered 3 Kennedy silver sets and a 2014 UNC dollar set.

I ordered 2 of the silver sets. One I will keep and the other I hope to sell later. It is my belief this set will only increase in value. As for those who want to order the clad set but don't want to wait to see what will happen with the mint, you can find it here. http://www.mintproducts.com/2014-ke...-relief.htmlThat is if you don't mind paying a little extra for it

The two piece clad set isn't worth it...$10 for two halves. I think your really paying for the packaging. Better off just buying a couple of single coins from a roll or cut out from a mint set.

Well I just got home from a long day and waiting on the table for me was my set... speed of shipment was really fast... and I just have to say what a beautiful set. Really impressed with this one more so than some other sets I have bought. Also have to say the mint really did a great job on the website and efficiency of ordering. now back to the coins...

TheForce the $9.95 high relief clad set is the only place to get those coins. The mint set and rolls are the low relief versions.

While face value may be $1.00, where will you find these coins for $1.00? Nowhere, unless someone's kid liberates them from their packaging to buy some smokes.

Package arrived with the sets that I ordered. Beautiful finish on ALL of the Kennedy's.
Each rather unique. Thought this was very interesting that the "Proof" is minted in Philly and the "Enhanced Uncirculated" bears the San Francisco mint mark.

I should have ordered the clad set much earlier than throwing it in with the silver set, probably when they announced only 200k limit. Not going to check the order, just gonna wait for the package and hopefully the clad is with the silver sets.

Better off just buying a couple of single coins from a roll or cut out from a mint set. It is NOT the same coin. AGAIN. The coins in the two coin set are back to the original high relief design from 1964. They are UNIQUE to that set. The coins in rolls and mint sets are NOT the same. They are the same low relief coins we have had since the 90's. I really dont understand why this is so difficult. Anyway, I am ordering my 2 silver sets on the first when I get my retirement check. I was going to set up an account for my daughter so I could get 5 more two coin sets, but it seems that may be a fruitless effort now. I got 5 within a couple weeks of the release. Put 3 up on their own on ebay for 19.99 each. One reseller bought all 3. I have one I am keeping, and one I am selling with a 64. So I will have to keep my eye on how much they are going for and see if the value goes up more.
