However, there were no mention of the Kennedy Clad Sets that I've ordered. I will have to call the Mint.........

Sorry, I didn't know the coins were high relief. I never saw mention of that on the product page.

FYI - a TRUE PR or MS 70 set may be HARD to find. Reviewing the sets that I received last night, take a CLOSE look at the top left and top right corners of the reverse shield on each series.

Obverse - a tick here, a tick there. No one series was worse or better than the other.

Get the loops out for those that have in hand.

Of note, I picked the $4.95 shipping method and the package was delivered in 3 days.

Mine checked in at the local PO this morning. I might get it today, if not tomorrow.

Just got my sets today....

Has anyone else noticed a somewhat odd "haze" around Kennedy's head in the open fields on the "Enhanced Uncirculated"? Looks ALMOST like milk spots but not as harsh.

Just wanted to add....the case and box for the set actually exceeded my expectation. Am quite pleased with the set but a bit concerned how my Enhanced Uncirc coins look. To put it in other terms, it also looks like there are a ton of hairlines like someone cleaned it with baking soda. Is this just the effect they were looking for or do I have an issue going on? I will send pics later when I get a chance

Added pic:

Note the hairlines running the the 1 o'clock to 7 o'clock direction in front of his forehead

Let me add that every coin in my set is flawless. The reverse proof is so cool, especially with the "W" mint mark.

I think this is the effect they intended. I see exactly what you're talking about. The only difference is that the lines are perfectly straight, running at about a 45 degree angle from northwest down to southeast, or from southeast up to northwest, depending on how you look at it.

You can sort of see this in my blurry photo. But I only see these lines on Kennedy's head, nowhere in the field.

CORRECTION: I looked at the enhanced uncirculated coin again under better lighting, and the lines are present in the field. I can only see them at a certain angle, though. Again, I think this is how the coin is supposed to look.

I just got mine, and while the presentation looks great I am sending it back. The container for the reverse cameo has a circle on the inside, and the coin itself has a scuff on the hair! I MIGHT have been able to live with the weird circle on the airtite container, but there's no way I'm putting up with the scuff on the coin itself!

I just called the US Mint, they said I can return it and they would destroy it and refund my money - which seems excessive. In any event I have to place another order now for a new one because they don't replace, they only refund.

So that's 1 less in circulation FYI

I just opened my set and I am very happy with the quality.

I think they will hold their value.

My estimated arrival date wasn't until tomorrow so you can imagine my surprise when I got home to see it here already.

I do see the same hair line effect going on with the enhanced coin. Not what I was expecting but I don't think it looks bad at all. I wanted to look at the back of the coins but I think they are glued into place in the holder. Anyone able to remove the coin to see the reverse?
