Ikes, of course, predate the legalization of mountain-town gambling zones in Colorado (1990), but we have slots from the one-cent "penny slots" to small $1 slots. (many of which were formerly Half-Dollar machines, and I still see banged-up 1990's ex-casino JFK's in bank rolls) I got to go through the bucket of Ikes my mom won in Vegas and they looked pretty nice, but that was in 1975! The '62-D LMC was slabbed by NGC, Alan. Today: Silver hit $45 an ounce, and I got a 1958-D Roosevelt dime in my change! Years ago, I used to think I'd never get any silver coins in my change again once silver passed $10/oz.  Edited by DNA

DNA...That is one dime that sat in the cookie jar for a long time...not bad when NGC sends a dime back that has been in "circulation" for over 40+ years.....and gives it an almost GEM grade....Makes you wonder how some of my mint coins get lesser grades, and I do not mean the $1 president coins as I get roll after roll so beat up that it takes a good while to pick out one for the collection. The metal they use is way to soft and the minting process with all the steps to do the edge takes a real toll on the coin before it even gets to the rolling stage....I doubt that we will ever see a MS 70 Presidential $1 coin!!

Dime? My NGC MS-64 RD circulation-find coin is a 1962-D Lincoln Memorial Cent (" LMC").  Couldn't agree more on the modern small Dollars. One of the 2011-D Native American dollars I got at the Denver Mint Gift Shop looked like someone had run it over on the shop floor! I put it into a parking meter.  Edited by DNA

Today: Three 1941(P) Nickels appeared in my change.  Yeah, I know they're worth only 5 cents each, but the odds of getting three 1941 Nickels in change in one day, from three different places... |

That was my quote, pastorals A Starbucks barista told she had four silver dollars in her till. I offered to buy them, and she handed me four Ikes. If I'd been the "windshield", I would have got four 90% silver dollars. But getting four Ikes in circulation in 2011 is too cool to be a "bug". So, since we all know what a huge Ike fan jbuck is, this made me "jbuck" instead of the windshield.  With Nickels, though, I'm the windshield. Today I got a 1943-S War Nickel and a stunning BU 1964(P) Nickel. The '64 is not full five steps due to its strike, but the obverse and reverse fields are virtually hit-free to the naked eye. Could be a true MS-65, most likely a recent refugee from a 1964 Mint Set. Edited by DNA

I scored my first 1943 steelie from "circulation". It was in the reject bin at a TD Bank, so it's not technically circulation, but close enough for me!

1963 Roosevelt, Looks like it just came out of a
uncirculated roll. Had it in my change yesterday,
don't know where it came from. Nice!
