Prices are inching upwards, esp. for sealed sets: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fro...EFSRCHX:SRCHIt appears many sellers are holding back their inventory - I expected the market to be flooded with these sets after all shipments were received, but that doesn't appear to be the case. Or is it because of the Christmas/New Year break? Well, the coming weeks will tell for sure.

I think people might want to hold onto their sets for awhile, I know I am.

I knew I should have ordered more than the two I initially requested. I could have paid for my wedding with just a small up-front investment! :)

The 1st of the two sealed box auctions mentioned above sold at a discount to the single set price so no overt premium there...($38.50/ea sealed box vs $39-40 single set)

^ Yes and no if you consider that shipping 23 sets individually will cost significantly more than 23 all at once. But I agree, this auction and a few prior ones do not suggest that selling a sealed box will get you more. Although there are a few that sold for more: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odk...led&_sacat=0We're now up to 79 active listings on ebay. It doesn't look like supply will come to an end anytime soon.

I'm surprised that the raw price is holding at $37-40.
Give it a few months and let the supply dry up and see what the price will be....

With only 50,000 units, I think this set will hold the $40+ mark for some time. Not to mention that the Mint really snuck this nugget under the radar and many collectors didn't find out about this set until it had already sold out.

Yeah I kind of regret passing on it. I could have bought a few, but didn't.

I placed my first order on 12-4-14 and got those without issue. I placed my second order on 12-12-14 and it has said PROCESSING, then BACKORDER as the status since roughly three weeks ago. Annoying. Just cancel the order and tell me you're out, Mint! You'd think they would have had this better planned, but then again, it's the government we're talking about. They hand out money for free to people who don't work for it, but won't send money to people who pay for it.

They won't say they are sold out until the time period for the return of the last items shipped expires...
The inventory is gone....just waiting for the above to happen

The second "sealed case" auction finished at $1212 for 27 sets, or $44.89 per set - better than what single sets sell for.
I honestly hope the US Mint continues these kind of sets with special finishes to the coins inside them, but please enforce a household limit from the start next time!

IT would be PERFECT if the Mint issued another set this year with HH limits and a higher mintage...
Not on the 2015 products list though...

The Mint does understand the dynamic of collectors behavior, that's why they occasionally do a surprise set like this to keep everyone on edge and enticed us to pay attention all the time (It paid to pay attention)..... just my thought.
