I received my two sets yesterday. The box rattles like a coffee can full of rocks. Not sure if I dare open it.

What service have folks received from the US Mint on
replacing defective products ?

Thanks,

rs

There is NO replacing these sets. Either sell it sealed on ebay or crack that baby open. The coins are relatively safe from the packaging rattling in the box. Wost you'll get is maybe the corners a little bent maybe.

Did the coins maybe come loose from their folders (not the capsules, but where they're held in the folder)? I opened mine like a kid at Christmas since I was keeping one of the sets anyway.

Either way, they're not going to replace them, it's either keep em, sell em, or return em for a refund.

Sorry to butt in - C&C?

Don't care for US Mint, btw, sloppy operation seems like. Just my impression.

Busy, I guess. Pumping out crap zinc pennies.

Indeed.

Here's a LENGTHY discussion on it:

It might be better to discuss this in the main Eisenhower C&C thread linked by CelticKnot above, since others have discussed issues with shipping and handling.

For the record, my set arrived intact and with some nice looking metal.
