GADIR-GADES, CADIZ. 3rd C. BC. Half Calco. AE19, 3.15 g. Obv. Head of Herakles facing Rev. Two tuna r. X counterstamp, prob during Visigoths era denoting 10 Byzantine nummi. Ref. VILL-85.26. I-1338. I love those Gades. This one is an As.  Gadir Gades AE28, 15gr., 100-20 BC Head of Hercules (Malqart) l. club behind. Two tunny fish l. Punic letters above and below, to left, crescent with pellet, pellet and Punic letter between. Burgos 1050. |

Yes, it is better in hand. It's hard to photograph and get the real depth. Eventually I'll some better lighting.
