Plated State Quarter With Holes In The Edges?

JamesB123 New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 11/20/2014 6:58 pm Hello, I found something strange in my pocket change and have no idea what it could be. It's a regular Denver mint Arizona State Quarter, but it has two tiny holes in the edges of both sides and appears to maybe be plated in silver? I have attached a picture where you can see one of the holes. Anybody seen anything like this before? Maybe a piece of jewelry? I don't know much of anything about coin collecting, so I'm sorry if this is a stupid question. Thank you in advance for your time. james Report this Post to the Staff

Conder101 Bedrock of the Community United States 17884 Posts	Posted 11/21/2014 10:41 am Used as jewelry, often on a bezel type holder with a pin on either side of the bezel that would fit into the hole allowing the coin to be flipped over top to bottom to display either side.
