Apologies for the poor quality pictures. It appears that the S on the left is wider than the S on the right. Incidentally, the dollar on the right is an impaired proof that I found in circulation.

I have seen the pictures. I just can't tell them apart. I was hoping an expert could chime in an tell me what I have. As I said, one S looks wider than the other, but I'm not 100% sure that they're different.

Note the ends of the serif. They are different in those areas.

Another big difference is the "flatness" of the mint mark. A type 2 will look noticeably flatter than a type 1.
