The update of the pages has been delayed.
Now there are 3 pages with Australia and NZ coins.
Many of them priced the way that raises the concern "Where discount is?"

Including "popular" Australian Goddesses and Star Trek coins.

yeah it was just a little levity at their expense (notice the little clown icon? lol).

C/A sent the e-mail but hadn't loaded the page on their outward facing website. D'Oh.

Agreed though on the offering. The blank page was just as exciting as the discounts on those items.

I'm having a holiday sale of my own. I listed about 60ish NCLT coins for 1 cent auctions.

Just got an e-mail from the rep offering Star Wars junk.

"These coin series will be hugely popular for both Star Wars devotees and coin-collectors alike."

No mention in the e-mail that they were issued 4 YEARS ago. And "hugely popular"?! Is that a joke.

Come on Mint. How stupid do you think we are?

We have a luck that RCM managed to get them and now offers only for CAD 100 per coin (or less) ?

Have to say, that IMO, the current Star Wars coin series didn't go far from 2011.
The Classic "sub-series" designed more professionally, specially, but they didn't succeed to struck realistic Darth Vader, while Han Solo not bad...but who really cares about Han Solo.........

And the characters from SW-7 : who are these people?
Was a mistake to mint these coins prior the movie - no attachment at all, and nothing drives to get a coin with un-known character /episode on it.

Added:
looked again at the pictures:
no, they not bad, but all in traditional NZ Mint style - all the main picture - paint.
For the half of price for the fans only.

Got my email from rep. Subject line - "In a vault far, far away."
Thought to myself - they found more gold. Haha.

Wonder if the mints in Australia and New Zealand push RCM stuff for an added profit.

Never seen RCM coin on the RAM, Pert Mint or NZ Mint websites. While the foreign stuff on RCM open for all (not some special offer for MC).

Leads to the theory that there are no real mints, just the branches of RCM.

Wonder what discounts the RCM get's from the other mints, especially for old unsellable products.

So for the fun of it, I went and looked at the Colonial Acres sales.

Amazed at the amount of old stock.. coins going back several years. Deals wise, not bad in the sense that many of these coins were going for way more on release and even from dealers.

However, I compared a few of their "deals" versus recent ebay sales/auctions and despite the fact that CA is slashing prices,,, their prices are no where near current ebay prices.

As an example, the Ducks Unlimited Mallard coin, while Colonial has slashed it, its still going for less than their offer on ebay.

So I gotta say, its not really a great deal for everything. I guess you have to know what you are looking for and whats the current going market price.
