At least in yesterday's shows, he changed his tune on RCM coins, that most of them increase in value after offering many previous coins for large discounts, everyone is starting to dump stock, maybe the RCM will finally get the message.

Wow I never thought the 07 snowflakes would drop like that. I had a set a few years ago but I sold them for $750 Glad I sold them when I did. Maybe the next to drop will be the first few 25 cent birds. I'm still looking for a few of them .

Actually the more sales I see like this the more depressed I feel about the direction coin collecting is going. At this rate of deprecation people will stop buying then mints will stop producing then the hobby will die. We've lost close to 50% on all most every coin bought over the last few years. Something has to change.

Looking at the coins bundled on TSC, it seems like a bunch of low sellers (duds) packaged together. 50% off, good for those who may have had some of them on their wish list, but may as well buy a bunch of Georgina Pope coins or 2012 The Three Wisemen - at $44. Nice holiday theme. Still overpriced. NCLT pricing has not hit the bottom floor yet. Think after Christmas sales, and when the new year turns, discounts will start on the old 2015 stock. Too many coins, not enough buyers.

Quote: Day 12 at CA good deals on silver coins and bars. Funny description of the first coin in list: 2015 Canadian Maple Leaves 1.5 oz .999 Fine Silver Coin (minor scratches and/or spotting) (TAX Exempt) List Price $47.00 SAVE $3.50 PER OUNCE!
Price 44.50So they sell for 44.50 instead of 47.00 - difference (savings) of CAD 2.50 per 1.5oz Other worlds: Save $1.67 per oz (and not $3.50 per oz as advertised)

My silver $25 Canada: An Allegory coin that I ordered from CP during their sale arrived a few days ago. I chuckled when I saw the COA number - 53 of 8500. I know that the COA # has absolutely nothing to do with the order in which the coins were struck, but I still found it a bit amusing that I would get such a low number considering I ordered the coin two years after it became available. Just goes to show how slow the sales for some of the RCM's coins have been at CP.

On the Coin show yesterday there was over 1400 of the seven coin block buster sale for about 40% of original RCM price, some of the coins were 2014, the vast amounts must be inventory clearouts from Canada Post hope it isn't a sign of the future for many NCLT. My local CP outlets are jammed pack with all kinds of 2015 coins

I agree with all what you said Falcon, the price drops are depressing!! I am glad that I started holding back in coin purchases Nov,2014. I don't think nclt collecting will totally die out, but eventually mints will go back to reduced offering. The steady increase of grocery prices, whose going to want to purchase coin that are dropping in price. There are many former active posters, who don't post anymore. Many saw this coming over a year ago. It will be interesting to see how the mints respond next year.
Maybe its why the mint is pushing so many x for x coins.
