Most likely Overstock from main Canada Post, shows how sad the NCLT are heading.

Same way as I like NCLT coins, I hate the overproduction.
They will not be different from the stamps, just the value will be around bullion.
I now see similar for Disney diecast cars. The ones, that were part of "one time released" sets or manufactured years ago, were priced on ebay as $30-$50 and higher, and now, when Mattel re-releasing them, they dropped to retail price of $7-$10. But with this I very happy - never understand the concept of "rare toy"

The RCM just miss taken the market place to absorb 300 or so issues a year, dealers are just starting to have monthly boxing day sales. Most stamps are sold at issue prices

Just a comment - I know folks follow this thread looking for sales - but I see the problem with MC Exclusive Access releases and that's because the general public has no way of knowing they exist. As a result, there is no demand. I'd bet a majority of the Voyageur 2oz were bought by other MC members who missed out on the original offer of the 1,500 or those who follow this forum.

The Voyageur had a simple design, this polar bear is overdone, as such another who cares

I am really curious, if the RCM this year will issue 1936-2016 2oz Voyageur coin (and better they wouldn't do it), will be the same demand as for 2015 coin?

Yes, the Polar Bear theme is really overdone, and even limited access to this coin didn't save it from being low rated by public.

One would hope they would do only the commemorative design coins only, but who knows with the RCM another dancing beaver

I agree to some extent. The first (I think it was the first) MC exclusive in 2009 suffered from the same lack of secondary market awareness. Like more recent "MC only" coins, the RCM didn't market the coin outside of the MC members so other collectors are less likely to even know about it.

Of course the 2009 coin also had supply side issues because it wasn't really limited to just 5k coins for MC members - another 35k were sold overseas with the final mintage being reported as 27,872. It can currently be had for less than issue.

link to the coin's product page: http://www.mint.ca/store/coin/sterl....V3qOAORTHb0

Notice the limit of 10 coins per household.

One also might suggest that like the iconic polar bear coin, exclusiveness doesn't trump a mediocre design.

Do you have a link for the 50 Cent 5 oz coin?

Still shows $519 for me.

Edit: In case you are wondering about this post,
wilsonwu89 said that coin was for sale for $400 at London Coin Center.

Anyways, you probably could find that 50 cent Big Coin on sale soon as all the big dealers seem to have lots of them and none of them has moved. Colonial Acres still have 27 of them. Probably can get them at their blowout sales soon.

Are you referring to the 2013 War of 1812 5oz coin for $400? That's the only 5oz coin on sale that I could find:

Probably only dedicated RCM / Canadiana collectors like we are, or Perth Mint collectors will pay CAD 400 - 500 for 5oz coins.
All others probably will pay the bullion price or the price for ATB coins as maximum.

It was definitely the 2016 50 cents 5 oz. I went to the London Coin Center 2 minutes after wilsonwu89 posted it and could not find it. Wilsonwu89 has since deleted his post so you have to ask him.

Grand Opening at The Coin Shoppe!

The Ontario based dealer invites the community of the collectors celebrate with them and enjoy the slashed prices on some NCLT.

**The example of "Berlin" Special Privy Maple (CAD 49.95) shows, why no need to rush and buy "California" SML.
