Does 2011 Lady Bug Murano Glass is better in something than 2012 Penny Farewell Set?

The difference in appealing to overseas collectors and not only to Canadians.

So, here the auction for Penny Set ended with 0 bids, while starting price is CAD 350.

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/2012-Canadia...02024703153?

Bacause the collectors who wanted the set, already have it. And for new collectors it not needed - so many coins around to look backward. General destiny of "hot" stuff.

The gold penny and rose gold penny weren't part of the original five coin set, so I don't know why the seller has those pennies in the picture. I think that is why nobody bid on it.

Right, this surely sellers miss - not to put actual item picture.

Colonial Acres has a Special Long Weekend sale, ends Monday.

Glass Frog coin is only $109. I paid full price of $149 for it when it first came out.

Glass Frog WAS only $109. They probably put just one or two on at that price because it was gone immediately.

I paid full price, too. I try not to let the occasional blow-out price bother me because most are still selling for issue price, though there have been a few auctions ending lower over the summer.

Let's say like this:
if CA know that Glass Frog goes more or less for issue, and there is a demand, why should list it with CAD 40 discount?

The reason, they moving out old inventory and want the coin go now. Since there is no really big demand for it, the price was reduced.
This or other way, the CA sale doesn't do a good job for the coin.

This is the single coin of the Glass series, that I keep as example of non traditional NCLT...

As I understand, the demand is low for them.
But, when someone needs this coin, the purchase price - yes, close to 200.
Specifically this listing up closely to 1 week, and I do not see much interest.
It was posted fist on other forum, so you can guess, what was expected, if coin is "popular"

While many of us are waiting for our so-called "MC credit", let me give you one..
Flash-Sale-And-One-Day-Sales
My mom, a non-MC member, got this code Tuesday.
Me, an MC member, never receive any goodie like this.
Feel the hurt and irony yet? The Mint punishes their loyal customers, thinking once they are on board they won't leave, and only give incentive to the new customers.

I personally tried this code, it is working for purchase greater or equals to 20$. It won't work on $XXfor$XX or loonie coin pack Since my mom received this Tuesday, and it is valid for 4 days, so I think tomorrow is the last day to use it.

Assuming you are an MC member with free shipping, some good things to considers:
- Coin Frames, get two small ones and this coupon should qualify.
- The 50cent roll, originally $24.95+tax, will get 10$ off.

Hope you find this useful.

Interesting... I'm not MC but they do send me emails and postal flyers. Still, I didn't get that.... Must have been targeted to a subgroup of unknown definition.

Just wanted to point out that both these promo codes are outlined in the FAQ section of the RCM website, under "SPECIAL CUSTOMER OFFERS PROGRAM".

And thanks again to both rjlavoie and shopaholic for providing the codes.
