You may correct me if I am wrong because Indian coins have never been big favorites with me - but isn't the Pig and revised design elephant a feature of the Rupee issues? It is the rupee of 1911 that was withdrawn from circulation and became scarce as opposed to the other denominations.

Hi Swamperbob,
From what I have been able to find they also minted the 2 Annas but cut the run short because of the " pig " issue.
I am having difficulty narrowing down the mintage figures for the original coins because it comes as a blanket number which includes re-strikes.
During my searches last night I found one source that put the number of these coins minted as very low, far rarer than the Rupees.
