This is amazing! I've never heard about unsearched lots and he says the jars are unsearched so I guess there's a fortune in there. OK, I'm draining my retirement accounts to win this one. The current bid is $717 - I'll go beyond the limit.

Quote: If you discovered such a jar and could see a 1909-S cent inside, would you...2) Leave the jar alone That's a jar full of stupid right there--bids are now over $800

did you see his other listing just like this one with CC mint coins and gold? Over $2400. One thing I just have to question....I have a lot of jars around the place with coins in them...some of them mason jars in fact, and the coins prominently lay flat...not vertically.

Do bidders really believe this IMO no one would not open that jar to check its contents

Quote: the jar is common as grass Looks like the jar has a bit of a green tint to it. I thought the colored ones were worth 5 or 10 bucks. Hey, I just noticed there is still time to bid, it's only up to $1100. If you look at the rest of the stuff he sells, he has plenty of coins to put this jar together.

am looking forward to seeing what the one with the gold coin goes for....and for those with a keen eye... who finds in interesting that once you get past the "outside" coins, everything "internal" appears to by cents and nickels. Cheap filler.

Place a tight cardboard tube in the jar drop better coins down the sides so they stand up. Fill the middle of the tube with junk coins. Pull out cardboard. Nice effect

Wow! I can just imagine what I could get for the hoard I recently acquired using nothing but mason jars and cardboard tubes.

I've long been contemplating the idea of recycling my old pill bottles, putting some old coins/tokens therein and attaching my own label. Then, I'd tell the recipient to "take two and call me in the morning."

well, if they are, the seller will just make the excuse that they were "unsearched"
