What is wrong with the following listing? I informed the seller and he said he would let the winning buyer know AFTER the coin was sold. Should be easy for any of our Silver Dollar collectors. 311207063353*** Edited by Staff to clarify topic title. Titles are important! ***

Ah yes, another one from this seller: "from my father's collection"....s/he played games regarding a 1948 50ยข piece a couple weeks ago. Anyway, they are on my (growing) blocked sellers list.

Your bang on SilverDon. Another marker for the small bead is if the tip of the "A" in Regina falls between two beads. Also looking at the dot between the D & G, If it is bigger than a rim bead it is a small bead. If it's the same size, it's a large bead. Can't tell from picture if a Cameo or not but it's certainly not a PL67. Maybe they graded different in his Dad's era.

No they didn't grade DIFFERENTLY, it is just a totally wrong description. The listing is simply a PL coin from a standard issue PL set. The type 3 and 4 large Beads PL dollars are back door jobs from the mint and were never available in PL sets or through regular channels. BTW ....Coins and Canada .............just because it is NOT listed there means sweet nothing PL66 and 67 both exist and bring good money when available. 1965 PL Type1 P5 SB ICCS PL66 (51) , Pl 67 (1), 1965 PL type 2 B5 SB PL66 (34), 1965 Type 3 B5 LB PL66 (61) ( 0) in PL67, Type 4 P5 LB (144) in PL66 and (2) in PL67 one of which we sold earlier in 2014 for stupid money! All figures quoted are ICCS 2014 Population report TM. You need to have proper tools to research availability on any issue not just a single reference. As a final thought I too am getting tired of "from my fathers collection." This has been talked to death on other threads and the French Canadian forum as well. Personally I would NOT go near this seller .

Hardly a problem (most of my answer is NOT directed at anyone in particular) and certainly no need to be abrasive ! Wow what an over reaction , just trying to point out that you cannot use a single reference to make a point. You are correct it is a totally wrong description. If you wish to avoid any topic that I am involved in , suit yourself . Have a good one !

Yeah Karly Shannon is an interesting seller. She's the one who did the early pre Sale on the Glass Butterfly and started the controversy on posting coins on ebay prior to public release. Many of her coins go for insane prices. I've seen some of her silver dollars bid up to $200's and over. I'm not even talking key dates. Just take a look at her Solds. She also sells many new mint coins from CP catalog images. If you want to see new coins prior to MC release watch her listings.

As someone WAY farther down on the knowledge scale, I appreciate what both SilverDon and Pacificoin posted here. I didn't perceive any slight either way. Keep posting. I think Karly is male from what I read in another post. And to lighten the mood, here's something from grandma's trunk. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Official-19...m43d41f803b/

maybe we should say Karlhe instead of Karly...........................kbb you are soooo right. Our good friend 47P7 outed him awhile ago. The French Canadian coin forum names him! You are right KBB I certainly meant nothing untoward @ Silver don. Quite the contrary.

kbbpll & Pacficoin- You are both right. From what I understand, "Karleys" real name is Joe Fowler from Victoria B. C. Is this the same name as on the french forum?

This is getting interesting, I had thought Karly Shannon was a gal. Mainly because the ebay photo used to be of a smokin hot blonde in a black knee length dress. Now to find out a seller I figured was a gal is a Guy interesting. I was going by the pic they posted on ebay. I went to double check the silver dollar ad and their photo is changed. All I know of this seller is they get some pretty good prices. I know a couple people who have dealt with them and it was fine. I have no personal experience, so I will reserve my judgement until I do.

Hey there @Pacificoin, I am sorry for the over-reaction, had a terrible day on Wed., shouldn't have taken any frustrations out on you. Again sorry for that, your information is good and I appreciate the referrals. Will have to augment my searches with other sources. I hope we can converse in the future about coins especially dollars.
