Lucky you. I found one once too. The gold seems brighter on mine compared to regular toonies.

Looks like it hasn't been in circulation for too long. The plating of these coins seem to "rub off" at the high points.

The yellow on these coins look more brassy than on normal circulation coins.

Looks like it has been broken out of a Proof Set in which case there would have been about 95,000 minted. The good news is that it would be sterling silver with the core plated in gold, hence the colour difference.
Definitely a keeper.

yes they did not produce them for circulation, so it must of been taken out of a set. too bad for them, good for you!
