Found these two coins in the same roll. They are both missing that shiny later normally seem on these years. Not worn just not shiny. I'll try to get a photo soon. Phone just isn't letting me. But just picture a new shiny bright 2014. These are no shine and a dark color. Are these errors and are they worth anything.

Depending on what caused the dulling affect. These can be an annealing error as the cent planchets are not softened as the zinc core doesn't need it. It may be that something was used on the coins plating? Any vinegar product can alter the finish. Saliva darkens the coin. Even sneeze droplets can darken a coin. So if the coin was found in circulation anything is possible. So an image would give us a better idea of what is going on with your coin.

Got it to work. I also posted two dimes the one on the top appears to be fof center. The bottom I have no clue. It has raised edges and does not allay to be the same size. The edges are also smooth. The top penny is a normal one for comparison.

The darker cents are because of toning or zinc rot, something the new zincolns get very quickly. Your dime is a Dryer Coin, not an error.

Dropping over and over in the dryer makes the rim roll over the edge of the coin.

Is this a Dryer Coin also? Both side look the same in color.

This coin is not smooth like a normal coin. The texture is almost rough. the bumps around the coin are actually there, under lincoln's nose, and various other places. Almost like it wasn't plated. If I give it more light by putting it at an angle it gives I a coated look. Not sure if it is the lighting. But this color is what it looks like in hand. I will post the angle toward the light also.

It was plated. Note the color difference between the unplated ones and the plated ones:

Not all are my pictures, some are from this and other sites. I see the need for these images and make them up for all to see. That means I use them at the right time to answer questions. It works best for me. So thanks to all that I use their images with as well. It is a team effort.
