Here are some more pictures. Maybe these will help?

It looks like a die clash and struck through at the same time. However, I have looked at overlays and can't find anything that lines up. Thoughts?

When I first saw this, I was thinking, "hey I saw a picture of this on maddieclashes.com yesterday" but after revisiting the site. It was a nickel that has the similar marks. http://www.maddieclashes.com/adc-5c-2000-01/

I lean toward a strike through error. Some kind of debris effected the obverse and reverse dies during the strike. It does not look like PMD to me.
