I am the proud owner of 3 or so tubes of primo 2013's. That is, I bought 'em at about $30. Lucky me.
I think I've got about 4 2014s. Coins, not tubes
GR58: what are the blue trays holding the capsules? I'd like that for my world bullion

Perhaps we are seeing silver prices tank in part due to this crazy flood of ASE onto the market. I know mints in other countries have been pumping out silver like no tomorrow as well. Also makes you wonder if ASE will really retain value vs regular rounds.

Silver value transcends govt backing. I thought that was the point. The govt backing is one dollar face value.

I suppose I've picked up 5 rolls each of the past two years. I wait until I see them for sale by someone who needs cash. The premium is only good upon buying as far as I can see.

Sorry I did not check back to this thread ... After I posted. I see there were a couple of questions asked. "Why are some of my coins loose ..in air-tites and flips?" The loose coins are taken out of the green top rolls for the pictures. The others are in the same holders I bought them in. "What are the blue trays?" The blue trays for Lighthouse coin cases, they have them at Wizard coin supply. I put my proof ASE's in those trays because all them boxes take up to much space. I store the boxes separate.

Enjoyed the photo GR58~! WOW! I have 2 of the missing ASE's over the last 2 years. One of each date. I bought a proof every year for the first maybe 10 years but haven't bought any since and would only pick up a bullion one here and there. I just bought a dansco to put them in and since 1986 when they came out, I am missing 19 of them...but have duplicates on many of the years. Wanna trade some GR?

US mint has sold over 8 million American Silver Eagles in the first month-and-half of 2015. That makes me wonder, who were the buyers? There are 3,143 counties and county-equivalents in the U.S. Let's assume there are 100 stackers per county by average. Usually there is a coin club in the major city of one county, 100 members seems reasonable to me. This arrives to 300,000 stackers/collectors nationwide. By average, each person gonna buy 27 ASEs already. For one thing, I haven't bought a single ASE coin yet! Who the heck is buying, please raise your hands!

I think that is more that people believe the government is trust worthy and is making legit coins. I could be wrong though? I like them because they are recognizable to just about anyone who owns any amount of silver.

Just saying although I could be wrong!

Just saying although I could be wrong! Exactly! ASEs make great gifts. I have given several to various family and friends. Some appreciate the gift and recognize its value, others think it is just another coin and don't fully realize what its value is. This is why I started a making high quality candles (called Scent Savers) with silver coin prizes, including ASEs. People are excited to learn what there coin is worth because they have waited hours and hours for their candle to melt to discover their prize. They research silver on their own and are amazed how much more than face value these coins are worth.
