CHRISNEWMAN New Member United Kingdom 2 Posts	Posted 01/16/2015 08:23 am I'm looking for some help?! I came across this coin in my Grandfathers collection. It has an unusual portrait of queen Victoria, which has been added at a later date. After searching the Internet couldn't find anything like it. Just wondering if anyone can shed any light on it? The term "Hobo Nickel" in general means a coin altered by an artistic person: 1) To make money - the 'hobo' takes an American nickel, carves a design, and sells it for what he can obtain. 2) A person with an agenda - either pro or anti the person portrayed As the image looks vaguely Asian perhaps this coin has a link there.
