Hi DOn. I think you will find that is a die clash from the ribbon on victoria' hair. Where the ribbon curves back to the neck. Most of the coins from this era are or have doubling. Certainly most would just see it as a normal entity for coins of victoria, Unless it was a very noticeable re-punch or wrong digit. Something like the 1874H G-over-G sideways. That commands a huge premium over most farthings. I love Farthings . So small but incredible detail. A very nice coin
