Really? Is it that valuable of a coin that they scam them? It was part of the only lot I ever bought. Soaked them in Vinegar, as they directed me. The clay/dirt was like cement. Just a novice & always collected coins, a penny hound mostly, Morgans, Peace, & Walking Liberty, Franklin halves. Mainly US. But I buy a lot know & then of Foreign & have friends bring me some! No confederate coins yet, want at least one! Thanks again for weighing in!

not a valuable coin at all, but yeah...very common in uncleaned lots.

Thanks chrsmat71, It's just brass or copper? It's the imitation that threw me off, why would one waste their time? If one was going to take the time, might as well go big!
