I am reading a few books and articles about the collapse of the Roman monetary system in the 4th century. One thing that strikes me are the bizarre denominations of the silver coinage during this time period. They are the light and heavy Siliqua( and their fractions) ,and the light and heavy Miliarense. Of all these coins the Miliarense are rarest to own.
I am curious to see if any forum members own a Miliarense( light or heavy). If you do can you please post any relevant data and pictures.
Thanks compaƱeros and compaƱeras. Edited by Augustus Maximus 01/24/2015 12:29 am

I can't recall ever seeing a Roman Miliarense being posted here.

I have one remaining half of a early Byzantine third-siliqua. Its not pretty but its rare (and was cheap). From around the time of Justinian. Not a miliarense but still something not often seen.
