That's what I was thinking as well. He might be able to pin the first one down but the second is a tough ask.

These are going to be a challenge. They are both billon trachy reduced in size which indicates from the late empire. Because of the condition it's just going to be a guess. I think the first one might be John III from the Thessalonica mint SB-2132. I don't know if I'll be able to come up with an ID on the second. But I'll enhance the pictures a bit, that might help.

I enhanced the images a bit, but still can't come up with a 100% positive ID. The second coin is from the Latin Ruler period 1204-1261 and looks like it might be SB-2030. Sorry that's the best I can do.
