True. Although I wish they were available with the other quarter sets.

Good point Jbuck

The mint could be better .... as far as set option.

For example: The small dollars should be sold separate
from the mint and proof sets.

I would like to see the silver quarter sets include the
silver half dollar and dime.

And yes it would be nice if they offered different options
on the "S" mint quarters .. I am sure there are many collectors that just want one or two of each.

KevinH ...good to know you do like the ATB quarters

Just a FYI ... I have opened both the bags and rolls ..
in my experience the quality/grade of coins seem to be better in the mint rolls.

I totally agree. I have P&D of all the other ATBs from circulation.

If anyone wants to sell me a set of the S version, PM me

This.

Buying two full proof sets (silver and clad) to get everything causes duplicates, but it is the only way to get everything.

My ideal solution is to offer three proof sets (oh no, more products): clad, silver, and ultimate. The ultimate would combine silver and clad sets, but skip the duplicates.

And maybe they could throw in a Silver Eagle and call it ................ oh wait.

Then it would just be another money grab of recycled coins by the mint

There are two problems with me using those Limited Edition sets.

First is that I do not care about the ASE (sorry, just shoot me).

Second, and more importantly, there is no way I would break apart that set to put the coins in my Dansco albums.

No, much cheaper to just deal with the duplicates.

I am with Jbuck ..

and I think the Limited edition set is over priced.

I think what Jbuck and I are saying, is to have a way of
not buying two complete sets to fill our albums.

To fill our sets now we end up with duplicate proof
Sac's, Presidents, nickel and cents.

I can't stand this, plus the value of these coins are destroyed due to the extra high mintages of duplicates.

Comparing Wendys to the US Mint is quite the stretch. And I am not sure where you are going, but my wait time at any particular place is not appreciably longer than it was 5 or 10 years ago. Went to Taco heck today and the only thing that slowed me down was the annoying tween morons in there because the schools were closed today. That has nothing to do with their menu.

And again, this venom being spat out because a company is doing what it can to maximize profits is mind boggling. I guess you all would be happier if the mint was going broke?

I think my biggest "complaint" about the S business strikes is (as has been mentioned previously) not having a nice labelled hole in my albums for them.

I don't mind the dupes - that means, if I check my math, that... yep, I have more coins! Woo!

I like the quality of the S mint unc ATB Quarters. They are clearly nicer than the P and D mints from rolls. I am somewhat surprised that they have not been added to mint sets, but oh well.

I wish there was an album to put them in. I guess a blank album will be the only way to do this. No one wants to step up to make one.

And collectors years from now will wonder why there are no S mint uncs for the first 2 ATB years.

No doubt. I really wish someone had thought of that in 2009! Oh well.

As was said before, the only reason they were made was to mark the 75th anniversary of the San Francisco mint in 2012.

Then why are they still being made? Oh right, as said before, to fleece us collectors.

I have mine in a blank quarter page. Personally I would dread an updated album, because I am sure they will mess with the alignment adding the extra holes in their chronological place.

The mint sure has messed with the quarters a lot. They added satin in the middle of the Statehood and removed it after the first year of the ATB. Then they added the S-mint business strikes in year three.

It is okay, because we collectors can easily adapt to the changes or ignore them.

I like the S coins. What I don't like is that they started it in the middle of the series. Makes it very confusing.
