Hey ladies and gents,
Just found this nickel with unusual errors. Looks like a filled in "D" mint mark, grove through the "In God We Trust" which is inside the raised outer lip ring, imperfection on his shirt and on the back it has a concentric ring the goes through the "five cents".

Questions: Is this rare, common, made after it was minted, and what could it be worth?

Thanks for all the comments and Help.

I also will be posting a video on my very first but not last CRH... lots of silvers! I got the fever already!

Not an error, PMD on both sides. The circular cut is from coin Rolling Machine Damage. The filled D mintmark is due to the middle part of the die (which makes the hole inside the D) broke off. No premium.

Ok. Thanks, PMD?
So what you're saying is I'm gonna be rich, right?

Fully concur with post-mint damage both sides ... the filled mint mark is common.

Looking forward to learning more about that silver hunt.

As a collector of Jefferson nickels I can tell you that filled mint marks like that are very common. I go through boxes of them and I see them all the time.

Quite possibly, but this isn't why you will be.
