Thanks for the replies, about my 1818 quarter.
I have long wondered if this was a 1818/5,
It is barely detectable ,so I went to several
auction sites to compare enlarged pictures of
certified 1818/5 quarters with mine
I found one with the same rev die cracks as mine.
On this one,I did see the remains of a 5 under the 8,
but I cant see that on my obv.
Do you think it is possible for my quarter to have the same
rev die crack as a 1818/5 but not have the obv 5 under the 8?
or can I assume it is an 1818/5 just by the reverse?
Hope these pix come out OK,if anyone can enlarge them enough
can you tell me if it is an 8/5.Can you see whats going on with my 8?
Really appreciate your opinions,
thanks

The uncertified coins are mine.

I think I can see something under that "8," however, I am not very good with this type of thing and so cannot give you a straight answer. A nice quarter, anyway.
