OK, gotcha fixed up. When you have 2 images you must use 2 sets of [img][/img] tags. You can't wrap one set around both images.

I'm sure someone will be by shortly to answer your questions.

Some people might want more obverse rim, but I'm not too picky especially when the reverse strike carries so much depth. There's enough detail in the headband and eye on the obverse, and the legend and eagle reverse for me to go easy VG, maybe VG-10. I don't know them all by sight, but my suspicions are that it's 1818/5 B.1, R.2, but don't hold me to that because I don't have my book handy.

I agree with HABIB.

Definite VG-8, possibly VG-10 (based on ANA Grading Standards).

Thanks for the reply Halfabustisbetter
I just got the Browning book, and it might be a B-1,
but I can't see the over date because of ware
but there might be something of a 5 in that date.
I believe the other diagnostics are there:
on obverse, the position of the stars,I believe match
on reverse, the letter alignments of the scroll and states match,
not sure of the style of the 5,though.
it even has the die crack from the t in states, under scroll ,
across eagles beak to the left corner of the shield.
Alot matches but I would be sure if I could see the overdate.

Could you please look it up and give your opinion,
maby post a pic of one.

I realy appreciate yours and everybody elses opinions

thanks guys

If the other diagnostics eliminate all of the other possibilities, then you've got your match. The my understanding is the overdate is usually visible inside the 8.

I'd have to agree with a VG grade. B&D calls for a full liberty to grade F-12, but this coin lacks detail on the bust and eagle, therefore net VG.

Thanks everybody for your opinions
I think I will call it a vg8,
but I think it is really a g7,
or do they call that a g6.
thanks again
