Hello,
I found this coin the today and I am not sure if it is an error. The mark going from the word United that circles to the word Dime is what I'm asking about. It's odd, at first I thought it might be a pencil or pen mark, but I can seem to rub it away with my finger.
Thanks

The line above the "D" in DIME looks like a stain. The the rim looks interesting. What does the obverse look like. Does it have reeding on the rim?

The obverse looks normal, and yes there is reading around the rim.

The reason I asked was on the reverse the rim is strong on one area and weaker the rest of the way around. (reverse from 6:00 to 9:00) I was wondering if it looked like that on the obverse, or is it normal compared to another dime.

When I compared it to another dime is does look different. I am new to this so I don't know what it is exactly but it looks a little off center... Maybe...

The coin looks like PSD.

The line matches the curve of a dime.
