It looks like there is a bit of a grease strike through on the reverse, probably from the fresh polishing lines. Where is the doubling that you see?

Looks like a pretty nice coin. A lot better than the other one.

It starts at the base of the nose goes down the upper lip across the lower lip.
Then from the bottom of the chin back to the neck.
I have taken many more photos, but can't seem to get a clear shot of the area.
I should have taxes done in about week or so, and I plan on buying a new camera then.Hopefully I will have better photos showing what I can see in hand.

I have some '64's that are real sweet. I'll start putting them up on a thread once I purchased a camera that will show details in a clear shot. Thanks for looking so far!

I bought a better camera and I took some more pictures.Hopefully, you will be able to see what I'm talking about now.
I also found another one,'72D, with the same type of error.

That'll make you cross-eyed, that's for sure.

The fact that the doubling so closely follows the entire contour of the lips evenly makes me think it's Machine Doubling. A die double should look like a second set of lips, with nothing different in any dimension than the original. You should be able to overlay one of those contours right onto the other, and see no difference.

I have seen shelf like MDs in that area of lips and eyes, but I can't tell for sure from picture if it is so. I'll let expert put in their opinion.

A closer shot of the area might show the lips a little better to determine if this is hub doubling or machine damage. It seems isolated in just that one area which make me thing MD.

Hi Cross-Eyed,
Not to steal from your post, I would check the insignia below Kennedy neck. (Pics below)

Here's 2 more picture with eye, nose, chin and ear doubled.

Also shows doubling in the words God and We.

Until I come up with a bellows set-up for the camera, this is as good as it gets. I tried using a magnifying glass to get a little closer, but there wasn't that much of a difference than what I've already posted.

After seeing macmercury's pictures,(Thanks for posting them)I compared them and, they don't look the same.Mine has more of a "shelf" look to them.Rather than a 'shadow image' type look.
So both of them, from what you all are telling Me,would be considered to be machine damaged.I can see the difference now.
Thanks for all of the help!
