A few weeks ago I won auction 321648266396 for an 1866 VF IHC. Paid, received a completely different coin, an 1866 IHC that was AG / G. Wrote the seller, he refunded me and told me to keep the coin. Said he lost the actual coin.
Noticed today that my exact coin is now relisted, auction 321664238043. Tried to bid but have been blocked. Tried to ask why, am blocked from sending him emails about that auction. Sent him an email via his home page asking him what was going on.
I have not left feedback on the original auction yet, but it looks like I still have that option.
What kind of feedback would you leave?

Yup, that's a negative for sure.

Though I'm baffled as to why he would relist it for $20 less than what you originally paid for it, instead of just sending you the right coin and keeping the money.

If he wants more for it, he should have gone with BIN...

When you start an auction, you have to assume that risk that it might not sell for what you want

IMO this is a shady seller in spite of his high feedback, he did a bait 'n switch and got called on it. He told you to keep the lower grade in the hopes of buying a positive feedback. He did you a favor by blocking your future bids . I would not consider bidding on his items even if he unblocked you.
I agree , Neg him.

For the reasons many have stated above, definitely a negative.

Easy on this one not only a negative but report him to ebay and tell every one you know. This stuff is absolutely not right and in a lot of places bait and switch is a totally illegal course of commerce.
I am sure that what happened to you goes on more than we will ever know.

In such cases, it's very important to leave feedback indicating that the seller did not send you the coin you won in the auction, as this may deter the seller from trying it again.

Neg him. In the comments you leave cite his bate and switch tactics. If necessary leave followup comments. Too many Sellers get by with this crap.

It's a good thing the seller got what he deserved. The new sale sold for a few dollars less.
